The most important thing we can do in these difficult days is pray, Many of us look forward to the time of corporate prayer on Sunday mornings, and the chance to share and hear prayer requests. Since we cannot be together, we will gather virtually by audio and video chat.
We, of course, will pray for the world during this time, and we will also lift up the names of those who face challenges unrelated to this virus.  Please check your CCUPC e-news for a link to join this conference call.  This has to be done from a smartphone, laptop, or tablet.  Due to the increase demand for Zoom services, no dial up connections are available at this time.  If you did not receive the link to join the meeting, please fill out the Prayer Request form on our home page by 8:15pm on Sunday, March 22, and Pastor Dena will send it to you.
The plan is that each person who logs in can share any requests or updates, and then we will pray together, either one person praying, or all of us praying, or some combination. It will depend on how many people call in and on our audio quality. (No one will be required to share or to pray outloud. You can simply log on to observe and to join your heart in prayer.) It will be good to see the faces and hear the voices of our brothers and sisters in Christ.
Whether or not you can join us tomorrow evening, please keep two of our members in your prayers who will be having surgery on Monday morning, March 23, both at Allegheny General Hospital.  Because of the current preventions in place, family members will not be allowed to accompany them into the hospital but will have to wait in the car for updates by phone. It is a difficult and scary situation for everyone.  Please pray for each of these beloved siblings in Christ, and their families during this time.
If you have any prayer requests that you would like to be included in our prayer time tomorrow, please fill out the online prayer request form here.
Our hearts are with you.
In Christ,
Pastor Jim and Pastor Dena
