2022 Closet Classic Sale

Let the Work Parties Begin!

Beginning June 6th we will be downstairs sorting, tagging, marking & pricing clothes for the Closet Classic Sale.  We need LOTS of help to make this event a success, so please come & join us (we have lots of fun while we are working!).  Check back closer to June for the exact schedule.  Come whenever your schedule permits – no experience necessary!!  Clothing and book donations in either bags or boxes can now be placed on the table downstairs across from the elevator.

What is the Closet Classic Sale?

          Once a year in mid-August, CCUPC sells quality clothing, books and movies at greatly reduced prices to benefit our in-need local community. Our prices are either equal to or lower than the prices at Goodwill! This 5-day sale is held downstairs in the church while a Flea Market is held upstairs in the Greeting Area. The CCUPC Café will also be selling food during this event.

            The items that we sell are donated by members of the church, their friends, family and neighbors. Clothes for all ages, male and female and all seasons are accepted. They are then sorted, tagged, priced and either folded on a table or hung on a rack. Clothes that are stained, out of style or damaged are donated to various charities.

            This is a very important sale for many of the people living in our community. Some will do all of their back-to-school shopping for their family at this sale.

            This ministry is something that every member of this congregation can support. All of us can donate clothes, books and/or movies. On the front of this paper is a chart listing the days and the times that the church will be open downstairs to sort and tag all new donations. Please post this on your refrigerator and come and work during a shift! A shift leader will be there to show you what to do. If you can hang or fold clothes, you’re qualified to help!!

            We expect to receive over 10,000 items that will need to be sorted and tagged. Please support this ministry with your donations and your time!
